Gettysburg, PA
The story of Adams County begins well before the 1863 American Civil War battle, even before the 1800 act of Assembly naming it an official Pennsylvania County and Gettysburg as the County Seat. Those three days in 1863 made our history a piece of American History, not just that of the county or the state of Pennsylvania, but a place in the United States and in time that shaped this nation.
